The field of rape blossoms, the size of eight soccer fields that Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do has been trying to grow, has been replaced. Even though I canceled the annual rape flower festival this year because of Corona 19, I made this decision when people continued to visit to see the flowers.

Samcheok's rapeseed rape flower, which was known for its unusually yellow spring because it was next to the blue waves of the East Sea, was a tourist attraction and a pride for the residents.

But this year, things got hard.

Every time the tractor passes, the rape field turns into a wasteland.

Corona 19 canceled the festival that had been going on for nearly 20 years, but it was because there was no way to stop customers from coming to see the flowers.

It was recommended to install a control line every weekend and watch it as it passed by car, but the open area had no control over the rushing crowds, so I decided to dispose of it.

It was a flower field that had been planted for 8 months after planting last autumn, but it took only 30 minutes to change.

[Lee, Si-Moon / Baebang Rapeseed Village Chairperson: My heart hurts so much. I grew it up for a year, managed it and raised it like this ... How bad will you feel when you change with a tractor like this?]

Even in Gangneung, where cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the publicity would be in full swing to come to see the flowers if it was the same as the previous year.

I also recommend removing the parking lot and watching the 'drive through' cherry blossoms, but I can't even replace the decade-old cherry trees like rapeseed flowers.

The coronal 19, which has been prolonged quickly, has taken away the romance of spring flowers.
