Office: Microsoft switches to monthly subscription - Geeko

Microsoft is revising its service offerings with new subscriptions. From now on, they will no longer be only annual, but also monthly. In fact, this will hardly change anything for consumers since they will still be able to take advantage of Microsoft's office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Even better, Microsoft 365 subscribers will benefit from new features.

A new artificial intelligence

Indeed, the new Microsoft 356 Personal and Family subscriptions will integrate a new artificial intelligence that will facilitate and improve the use of different Microsoft software. Thus, in Word and Outlook, Microsoft Editor will offer text improvements to make it more fluid or more concise. In PowerPoint, Presenter Coach will give you tips for improving oral speech. Finally, PowerPoint will be integrated with Word and Excel to allow easy transformation of your text into a timeline or original layout.

It will also be a question of synchronizing your personal and professional calendar via Outlook. Excel will welcome a new personal finance management tool, as well as new data management models.

A family-friendly app

Microsoft 365 subscribers will also benefit from a new mobile app, Family Safety. This will allow you to keep an eye on the time spent by each person in front of the screen of their smartphone, Xbox console or PC. The app will include monitoring functions for family members. Family Safety should arrive in the coming months on iOS and Android.

Two offers for the price of one

If Microsoft switches to monthly subscriptions, the annual plans are still valid and their price is unchanged. Users who wish to benefit from a preferential annual subscription (two months free) will therefore always be able to do so.

The monthly subscription Microsoft 365 Family is 10 euros and 99 euros for one year. The Personal offer is 7 euros per month and 69 euros for a year.

Another good news for Family subscribers, six users can take advantage of the subscription at the same time. Office 365 subscribers will automatically switch to the new subscription plan on April 21, but the new subscriptions are already available.
