You will certainly remember HQ Trivia, the question and answer game that allows you to win up to several tens of thousands of dollars by participating in daily quizzes via a dedicated application. Last February, the startup behind this project went bankrupt and announced the dismissal of its 25 employees. Its founder had tried to find a buyer but without success.
Yesterday, the application made an unexpected return thanks to an investor who did not reveal his identity. A new show was organized to celebrate the good news, and more than tens of thousands of Internet users rushed to participate.
A new strategy yet to be defined
For the moment, it is difficult to say which direction the program will take. However, it is likely that the buyer imposes a change of strategy on his teams.
Based on game shows, HQ Trivia offers players to answer a series of multiple choice questions that are dictated live by a presenter. Only in English, the game used to be held twice a day. Some technical problems were to be deplored on busy days, with slight jerks which could have an impact on the game, affecting the players' results.
