The Japan Meteorological Administration announced today that cherry blossoms in Seoul have blossomed this year.

It is the fastest blooming since observing the blooming of cherry blossoms in Seoul in 1922.

The blooming of cherry blossoms in Seoul today is 7 days earlier than last year and 14 days earlier than normal.

The Korea Meteorological Administration considers the blooming of more than three flowers in one Yoshino cherry tree designated by the Seoul Meteorological Observatory in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the cherry blossoms bloomed faster this year because the average temperature in February to March was higher than the average year and the sunshine hours were longer.

Considering that it takes about a week to 10 days from blooming cherry blossoms to full bloom, it is expected that cherry blossoms in Seoul will be in full bloom next weekend.

On the other hand, blooming has not yet been observed in the observation trees of Yeouido Yunjungro, the representative cherry blossom spot in Seoul.
