Federal State Budgetary Institution Center for Strategic Planning and Management of Medical and Biological Health Risks of the Ministry of Health of Russia launched serial production of the latest test system for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA of severe acute respiratory syndrome (AmpliTest SARS-CoV) by the polymerase chain reaction -2, ”the department said.
It is noted that the new test system is distinguished from existing ones on the market by a higher sensitivity to coronavirus RNA. As explained in the department, the new system "gives a positive result with a lower virus content in the sample."
As specified, it is planned to produce at least 10 thousand tests daily "with a subsequent increase in production to 50 thousand tests per day."
Earlier it was reported that in Russia under medical supervision due to coronavirus remain 145.1 thousand people.
It is noted that by March 26, 223 509 laboratory tests were conducted.
According to the latest data, 1036 cases of coronavirus in 58 regions were recorded in Russia.
