An incumbent prosecutor was confirmed to be under investigation for suspicion that his girlfriend was involved in the police case, the victim.

The Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office said that the A prosecutor at the Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office, which was newly hired last year, is conducting inspections because of suspicion of misuse of the status.

Prosecutor A is under suspicion that in November of last year, his girlfriend revealed to the police the status of a prosecutor in the process of reporting and investigating a victim's voice phishing incident.

Subsequently, it was also confirmed that the police investigation team was sent a petition stating that they wanted severe punishment and a legal review document regarding voice phishing.

Article 18 of the Code of Prosecutors' Ethics stipulates that prosecutors do not conduct any mediation, solicitation, or acts that have unfair influence on the matters or affairs handled by other prosecutors or other agencies.

In response, Prosecutor A explained, "I didn't reveal my identity first with the intention of exerting influence."

The first time I reported my disappearance because my girlfriend lost contact with me while I was being victimized by voice phishing, the police responded inexperienced and inevitably revealed my identity in the process of pointing it out.

Prosecutor A explained, "At that time, I told the police officers only the officials of the investigative agency knew, and the police officers inquired about the status and inevitably answered that they were prosecutors."

He also said he sent a written review of the jurisprudence, "I just did everything I could to do as a victim."

However, even after the current prosecutor's status is revealed, it is pointed out that the sentencing of the legal review document may have violated the prosecution code.

Attorney Kim Han-gyu, former prosecutor reform committee member of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, said, "If you receive such data or phone calls, you may be undermined by the law enforcement agency's fair job execution." I pointed out.

He added, "If these actions are okay, all prosecutors can interfere with acquaintances in a similar way."

The Supreme Prosecutors' Office is known as a policy to decide whether or not to discipline and whether to go through a prosecutor's inspection of A.
