A police officer filed for an arrest warrant for YG Entertainment's former producer, Hyun-Seok Yang, who is being investigated for suspicion of drug investigation by his singer, 'Baiyi'.

The Suwon District Attorney's Office said today (25th) that two policemen, including Yang, last week filed for a warrant for arrest, but refused.

An official of the prosecution explained, "The reason for the arrest was difficult because it was difficult to be admitted during the current investigation."

Earlier, Mr. A reported to the National Human Rights Commission of Korea last June that Mr. Yang had asked him to overturn the statement regarding the alleged drug abuse in 2016.

As a result, the police have started investigating suspicions since September of last year and have been investigating for seven months.

The police are planning to hand over Yang's case to the prosecution and close the investigation as early as next month.
