A bug in the latest version of Windows 10 slows PCs - Geeko

The American company is releasing a new large patch as part of its Patch Tuesday meeting. After fixing 99 security holes in February, Microsoft is releasing its March patch, patching 115 vulnerabilities, reports ZeroDayInitiative. Flaws discovered both in the heart of its operating system and in its software.

Of the 115 vulnerabilities, 26 are considered critical and 88 are significant. These vulnerabilities mainly affect Windows, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, script engines, LNK files, Microsoft Word and Dynamics Business.

There are many methods to exploit the various security vulnerabilities. There is therefore a real risk that files, software or machines are compromised.

A risk remains

Fortunately, despite the large number of flaws discovered, none of them have been exploited by hackers. Microsoft is reporting on these vulnerabilities after successfully patching the latest updates available in Windows Update.

At the same time, Microsoft is sharing a security advisory regarding a remote code execution vulnerability. A flaw that could be exploited by a computer worm. This could spread to several machines via the network to which they are connected. Surprisingly, if Microsoft communicates about the wormable vulnerability - without revealing the technical aspects of the flaw - the company does not offer a fix.
