Daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter of artists, Adriana Ozores (Madrid, 1959) treasures a long career behind her. Participating in a project like Invisibles has been an experience that has led her to reflect on many issues. The protagonists of the film are Julia, Elsa and Amelia, three friends of a city of provinces, have long maintained a healthy habit. Once a week, as long as their work obligations allow, they take a long walk in a park. They wear tracksuits and, during the tour, talk about their things. In all their conversations, these women, who turned 50 years ago, let off steam and show that, at their age, society considers them expendable or, as the title of the film says, invisible to members of the opposite sex.

At three the problems accumulate , some referring to her work as a teacher, in the case of Julia (Adriana Ozores); directive that accompanies his boss to meetings abroad, such as Elsa (Emma Suarez); or as a housewife who must deal with a teenager, daughter of her current partner, who makes her life impossible, as happens to Amelia (Nathalie Poza). Along the way, the three protagonists of a drama in which there are comic moments and even suspense notes will meet several people who will lead them to rethink whether their dreams of youth can be fulfilled or all hope is useless. Directed by Gracia Querejeta , who has co-written the script with Antonio Mercero, son of the legendary filmmaker and screenwriter. The film was shot largely in the Prince's Park of Cáceres, in addition to Madrid.

'Invisible' trailer

The topics covered in this movie are not far from you. Do you agree that there are many “uncomfortable truths?” Or brave of the proposal that Gracia Querejeta has made is that it tells a part of the people we least like to see as spectators. It does not mean that we are like this all the time. But Grace has focused on that point. And bravery is appreciated, because one usually wants to see the hero or the heroine. Here what you see is the part that you might like least: the interiors, the meanness, the obsessions ... Things, in general, that lead nowhere. Would you like this film to be therapeutic and help someone find solutions to their problems? Of course. I think it is worth it just for the fact of sharing the problems and for you to see that it is not you alone who lives them, but that what happens to you in your life happens to other people. That you feel each other's company is important to get ahead. In addition to the three protagonists, in the story appear male characters that do not come out well, with some exception. Those men who appear in some way are also victims. Above all, of society. Those who leave are judged characters that should not be pigeonholed on the side of the bad or on the side of the good. Above all, because we are all on the same side. On a personal level, have you ever been envious of the facilities that men had in your profession compared to women? I have always been very radical in my profession. When I saw a script in which I did not believe because it seemed to me that I was not balanced, I said that I did not. Or if I saw that there was a balanced relationship in a couple by voluntary or involuntary machismo of the screenwriter. Or because there were phrases full of topics. There I also said that I did not. Another thing is that I would like to tell that in particular or talk about a battered woman. But because yes, no. It has to be consistent within the script. In Invisibles , where everything is built through dialogues and there is only one location, it is surprising that there is room for drama, comedy ... and even the thriller. I find it very smart to have put all that. It is true that it is not a psychological movie, but it does have a lot of psychological content for the characters.

From left right, Amelia (Nathalie Poza), Julia (Adriana Ozores) and Elsa (Emma Suárez).

Do you consider yourself fortunate to continue living from the interpretation? I live very close to young people and I can assure you that the suffering they suffer from getting a character, from doing so and staying, I do not wish it on anyone. Today, we all have a hard time pulling forward. There are some lucky ones, as there are in other ages, who can do it. But it is not a matter of age. There are those who spend the time. As sad as meeting fellow actresses who are no longer engaged in this. And so much ... But don't believe it. In that, women and men have been matched. Because there is a lot of competition or because of luck. During the promotion, Gracia Querejeta revealed that two brands of sportswear refused to lend tracks to appear on the screen. Well yes, what do you think? There were two brands that did not feel identified with women over 50. As soon as he knew, Gracia told us scandalized because it is normal that if there are characters who use that type of clothing they may be interested. Well they said no. And it is well that it is said and that people know it ... One of the issues that appear is machismo. How do you think you fight in the youngest? Well, it should be said how they are educated. The work that parents do at home and also what is done in schools is very important. As much as being close to them. Do not stay in what you understand or what interests you, but rather try to get closer to what they think, even if you do not understand them. There must be a work of generosity and care. You have to be behind that person who is being trained but, at the same time, leave him the necessary freedom to explore. And with those who comb gray hair? Well, it is not necessary to say so much amen to what they have taught us. And they have taught us that from an age you are no longer worth it. And more in an individualistic society like this. But beware of the amen, because a man can say what he wants, he can make you believe one thing and you are free to believe it or not. You have to have the ability to discern whether it is true or not. By the way, are you exhausted to be asked so many times if Invisibles is a movie for women? I have an Argentine friend who says it is "like rowing all the time in a dulce de leche". And it's true. Everyone asks me if this is a feature film of women or what it is to feel invisible. And what I mean is that it is not a movie for women. Of course there is a long way to go ... And we have done a lot. But, if we stay only in that, crap. You have to be more ambitious and look forward. The day of triumph will be when there is no talk of whether it is a film for women. But it remains ... Would you then like the topics to disappear? How wonderful it would be that, over time, everything that is told here will remain as something old. That would be the main objective: for people to say "do you remember this?" I trust that.
