Two people who were confirmed to be diagnosed with the new type of coronavirus infection (Corona 19) at Gimpo, Gyeonggi, were reported to attend a wedding ceremony at a hotel in Daegu, where 31 confirmed patients stayed in their 30s.
Gimpo held an emergency briefing on the 21st and explained how he and his wife, A (male) and B (33, female), were in their 30s.
They attended a relative wedding held at Queen Bell Hotel in Dong-gu, Daegu, where one of the 16-month-old children visited 31 children.
They stayed in Daegu for four days until the 18th of the same month, and it was found that they returned home to Gimpo city on the same afternoon.
B visited the hospital on the 19th of the month because of cough and sore throat symptoms, but he was told to visit a screening clinic first.
Mr. B, who visited the screening clinic, received the first infection test, was positive at 6 pm the day before, and was tested for the second infection by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Suspected of infection, Mr. A was positive on the first test and is currently awaiting results after the second test.
The health authorities also tested the couple's children, but they voiced and quarantined their homes.
Gimpo City has dispatched the Immediate Response Team, Gyeonggi-do Epidemiological Investigator, and Infectious Disease Support Team to check the route and contacts, and conduct epidemiological investigations.
Gimpo mayor Jeong Ha-young said, "These couples were found in a space in Daegu Hotel where there were 31 confirmations."
