It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“A replacement in the crews is not an extraordinary event,” the corporation said.

It is noted that "about 40 cases of partial or full crew replacements are known in the history of manned space exploration."

According to official data, "only during flights to the Mir orbital complex did 15 shifts of the initially approved crews take place."

Earlier it was reported that Russian cosmonauts Nikolai Tikhonov and Andrei Babkin, members of the Soyuz MS-16 spacecraft crew, which will be launched on the ISS on April 9, can be replaced by Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Wagner.
