In recent years, several moderators have taken legal action against their employer after developing post-traumatic stress disorder. - Jeff Chiu / AP / SIPA

In the United States or Ireland, cases have multiplied in recent years. Some moderators have decided to attack their ex-employer after developing post-traumatic stress disorder. If most of the giants of new technologies - Google, Microsoft or Facebook, rely on artificial intelligence to sort the content published on their platforms, the use of moderators is still very developed.

For the Facebook social network alone, there would be nearly 35,000, internally or with partner companies, responsible for security and moderation. But this work sometimes comes at a cost. Exposed all day long to violent, hateful or shocking content, these men and women are subjected to intense stress, some of which resembles post-traumatic stress syndrome.

If your work of moderation has had consequences on your physical or mental health, your testimony interests us. You can testify by filling out the form below. Your stories will be used to write an article as part of a new series called “Cassés Net”. Thank you in advance.
