The malfunction ABN AMRO was facing on Friday has been resolved. Users could not use internet banking, mobile banking and iDEAL for a few hours.
ABN AMRO customers were unable to transfer money from the bank's app and website from the end of Friday morning. It was also not possible to make payments with iDEAL. The fault was resolved around 2 p.m.
According to an ABN AMRO spokesperson, the servers were overloaded. "It's a payday today. People go to the website with a lot at the same time to look at their salary. That caused the failure."
According to the spokesperson, when the pressure on the servers decreased, the malfunction resolved.
