"You are number 1 on Facebook" ... US President Donald Trump said this week that Mark Zuckerberg, boss and founder of Facebook, congratulated him for his presence on the famous social network. "I had dinner with Mark Zuckerberg the other day, and he said 'I want to congratulate you, you're number 1 on Facebook,'" said the President in the radio show by conservative host Rush Limbaugh, which he is close to.

Asked about it, Facebook said the two had not met since October, when they had dinner together at the White House.

"I would prefer not to have to go through them, I would prefer to have credible newspapers"

Renewing his attacks on the media, described as "corrupt", the American president underlined how important social networks are for him. "I would prefer not to have to go through them, I would prefer to have credible newspapers, but this is not the case," he insisted.

"Without Twitter, I think we would be lost, we would never get the truth out," he added. The @realDonaldTrump account, which the President uses daily, has nearly 70 million subscribers.
