An independence activist, Yoksan Kim Won-bong, lost his position as a revolutionary when he became a bureaucrat after his visit to North Korea.

Kim Kwang-woon, a coordinator for the National History Compilation Committee, explained that Kim Won-bong remained an administrator in North Korea since 1948.

Kim Won-bong served as a national censorship award, chairman of the People's Republican Party, and a laborer.

Kim insisted that Kim Won-bong lost his political identity as he mainly worked to justify the existing North Korean order.

Kim Won-Bong disappeared from the official statue after attending the Supreme People's Assembly held in 1958.

Kim explained that Kim Won-bon lost power as the North Korean regime strengthened its dictatorship and established a unique ideology system centered on Kim Il-sung.
