It is an interesting exercise to imagine how India Martínez would be perceived if she had debuted in 2019. She already spoke of miscegenation and widening the margins of flamenco long before the artists who today are championing a new necessarily transgressive and renovating scene. After about 15 years in music, Cordoba travels a very particular path, immersed in the circuit of the great labels but advancing on its own, through a path that places it between the spirit of the Camela neighborhood and the prodigious voice of Rosalia

He can connect or not with his style, with his effort to look at other sounds - since his beginnings he has been interested in Hindu music, Latin ballads, flamenco pop and many other genres - but India Martínez cannot be denied having been building a proper name .

His eighth album is a tribute to his neighborhood, Las Palmeras in Córdoba, a wink from whom he has never forgotten his origins. It is another work dominated by the diversity of sonorities, where it highlights its alliance with the Cuban rappers of Orishas in Palmeras and with the flamenco guitarist Vicente Amigo in Heaven and Earth . "Without the collaborations it would be nobody, the exchange is what makes you grow as an artist," she said in an interview with EL MUNDO in 2014.

Unfortunately, there are ideas in this album that are repeated without dissimulation and some letters too obvious, so the set is a bit irregular.
