Aston Martin follows the example of other luxury brands in launching an SUV. With the new DBX, the British manufacturer wants to compete against models such as the Lamborghini Urus and the Bentley Bentayga.
The DBX therefore gets a powerful V8 engine. The power source from Mercedes-AMG delivers 550 hp, with which the DBX achieves a top speed of around 290 kilometers per hour.
The new SUV has the appearance of the DB11 from the front and looks like the Vantage from the rear. The shape of the rear lights is similar. The profile of the DBX stands out thanks to the chrome accent behind the wheel arch.
However, an SUV is about more than just performance. For example, the luggage space measures 632 liters and there are numerous options available for the rear space. Aston Martin offers a ski package, which includes a ski boot warmer. There is also a special set for pets, complete with dog pillow. In addition, special travel bags, suitcases, roof racks and even a shotgun holder are available.
Inside, Aston Martin also uses almost exclusively leather, wood and alcantara (a plastic alternative to suede). We also see aluminum accents, such as the handles, door handles and the controls.
