A mother died Tuesday night in Montfermeil (Seine Saint-Denis), victim of several stab wounds, according to information from Paris. Her husband, the main suspect, has also succumbed to stab wounds. He is suspected of having killed his girlfriend in front of their two daughters.
According to sources close to the investigation, the father of the family carried several knives to his wife in the kitchen of the apartment, following a "dispute", around 22:40. The victim tried to defend himself, stabbing him as well. The cries of the girls alerted the neighbors, who called the police. On the spot, three knives were discovered, stained with "a lot of blood", according to a police source.

The man, eviscerated, was transported to Bichat hospital in Paris, and succumbed to his injuries in the night, according to another source. Shocked, but not injured, the girls were taken care of by the Social Assistance for Children (ASE) and by psychological help. The judicial police of Seine-Saint-Denis has been seized.
