The general director of the state corporation "Roskosmos" Dmitry Rogozin announced the removal from the project of persons involved in corruption at the Vostochny cosmodrome. It is reported by TASS.

According to Rogozin, criticism from Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the theft during the construction of the cosmodrome is "absolutely justified." The general director of the state corporation emphasized that Putin was "informed in detail" about this case.

“We also know in detail who was doing what, and we are glad that these people have long been removed from the construction site and are located in places not so remote,” Rogozin said.

He also said that the second stage of the Vostochny spaceport "is being built on completely different principles."

“Treasury escort is provided there, and money is allocated directly from the treasury letter of credit, there is no reason to think that the money is spent inefficiently, we do not have it yet, there are no disturbing facts either,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

Previously, Putin during the meeting pointed to the theft of hundreds of millions during the construction of the East.
