Russia plans to launch about 30 Glonass-K2 satellites by 2031

Russia plans to put into orbit 28 new-generation satellites Glonass-K2 by 2031, RIA Novosti reports with reference to available materials.

In particular, two satellites are planned to be launched in 2021 and 2023, five in 2024, six in 2025, four in 2026, one in 2029, and eight more in 2030.

For their launches, it is planned to use 12 Soyuz missiles (one satellite each) and eight Angara missiles (two vehicles each).

In June, Roscosmos reported that the GLONASS satellites would be fully converted to Russian parts by 2023.
