Her work is devoted to the creation of materials for wastewater treatment and liquid radioactive waste, as well as for use in the field of medicine.

The award ceremony for young chemical scientists was held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

Along with the Russian woman, six more winners from Spain, Mexico, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Egypt were awarded with grants.

The works are aimed at creating breakthrough technologies in the field of environmental protection, healthcare, food, energy efficiency and the rational use of natural resources.

In 2019, the ceremony takes place for the sixth time and is timed to coincide with World Science Day, which is celebrated on November 10. In total, 114 people from 43 countries claimed the victory.
