A priest of 91 years was found dead Monday morning in the Oise, victim of a "violent death". The terrorist track is excluded by the investigators, who arrested a 19-year-old suspect.

The body of a priest of 91 years was found Monday morning at his home in the Oise. A source close to the investigation reports a violent death. The victim was found in his house in the hamlet of Ronquerolles, in the town of Agnetz, about twenty kilometers from Beauvais. A 19-year-old man was arrested as part of the investigation carried out by the gendarmerie of Clermont, without being able to specify the circumstances of this arrest. According to the Courrier Picard, the suspect was arrested at the wheel of his victim's car.

The terrorist track excluded

The terrorist track was excluded by the investigators. The suspect suffers from "psychological problems". The priest found dead "was a man very cordial, simple, warm, I'm sure he had many friends in the area," said Father Bernard Grenier. "He made himself available as much as he could, he was going to bring the Eucharist to his parishioners, he was a good guy". The prosecution of Beauvais, in charge of the investigation, was not reachable in the evening.
