As you can see, in the United States, crimes related to child pornography are classified as the most guilty offenses and are subject to the maximum life imprisonment. But in South Korea, the bat is only a punishment, and Sohn Mo, who is currently serving, was even sentenced to probation.

The Seoul Central District Court sentenced 23-year-old Son Mo, who ran a child pornography site on Darknet last September, to three years of probation for two years in prison.

The court explained, "The defendant is young, reflects on the crime, and contains a significant amount of sexually explicit content uploaded by site members."

In May 2nd review, he was sentenced to one year and six months in prison while severely criticizing that "the social harm caused by sexually perverting children's adolescents is so great."

According to the Child and Youth Sexual Protection Act, Son is charged with distributing pornography for 10 years or less and is considered to be lighter than night invasion, which imposes a lower limit on imprisonment for more than 1 year and 10 years.

There is no separate sentencing criterion, in effect, at the discretion of the judge.

[Kim, Jae-Ryun / Lawyer: The pornography used by children and adolescents can be seen by everyone.

It is unknown whether Mr. Sohn's recruits will go to the United States, even if the US prosecutors ask for a criminal extradition.

This is because there is a provision that if a criminal has already been punished for the same crime under the extradition treaty, they cannot be repatriated.

The Justice Department says it cannot confirm whether there has been a request for a US criminal extradition against Mr. Son.
