Prosecutors appear to have been prepared for a summons investigation against her husband, former Secretary of State. In particular, it is reported that Chung is considering applying bribery charges to former minister Cho for the stock he bought last year.

The prosecution included a charge of acquiring secondary battery maker WFM shares under the arrest warrant for Professor Chung Kyung-shim in advance.

The prosecution pays attention to the purchase price.

Professor Jung bought 120,000 shares at 5,000 won per share, which was cheaper than the market price, which was over 6,000 won per share in January 2018. The prosecution is suspicious.

The prosecution is looking into whether a bribery charge can be applied to the former secretary of state.

Court rulings, such as a bribe received by a public servant's wife, were the same as the bribes he received.

In addition, the senior prosecutor's view is that there is a job-related requirement for bribery, as Mr. Min is also responsible for the FSS.

What matters is whether former Minister Cho knew the situation in which Chung bought the stock cheaply.

The prosecution reportedly identified a portion of the stock purchase funds transferred from his former secretary's account to Professor Chung's account.

When asked if he knew the situation of buying stocks cheaply, Mr. Cho said, "a ridiculous question" and "not true at all."

The prosecution is expected to require attendance from the Secretary of State next week.
