The American telephone manufacturer Motorola will probably announce a folding telephone on 13 November. This is apparent from an invitation to media, which contains a moving image on which a telephone is unfolded, reports CNET .

Sources report that the Motorola Razr is, as it were, a folding phone that consists entirely of a touchscreen. This means that the phone is folded vertically, instead of horizontally, such as the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

The folding phone screen is likely to be 6.2 inches and uses a Snapdragon 710 processor. The Razr will be sold in America for 1,500 dollars (1,373 euros). Nothing is yet known about a Dutch appearance.

CNET wrote in September that Motorola originally wanted to release the folding phone in the summer, but that this was moved to the end of 2019. It now appears that the announcement is coming November 13 and that the device will actually be available for sale later this year.

Motorola follows the Samsung Galaxy Fold with the foldable phone, which will be sold from September but is not available in the Netherlands. Huawei is also working on a foldable smartphone, the Mate X. This phone is also not for sale yet.
