Porsche adds a third version to the offer of the all-electric Taycan series, the Taycan 4S. The battery pack of this version has a lower capacity and the electric motors also deliver less power.
Less power is also relative, since the Taycan 4S is still good for 390 kW (530 hp). The car sprint with it in 4.4 seconds to 100 kilometers per hour and reaches a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
Porsche installs a 79.2 kWh battery pack in the bottom, which the Taycan 4S claims is 407 kilometers away. The new version can handle a load capacity of 22 kW.
For a fee, the Taycan 4S can also be equipped with the battery pack of the stronger Taycan Turbo and Turbo S, namely a copy of 93.4 kWh. In that case, electric motors deliver 420 kW (571 hp) and the car can handle a load capacity of 270 kW. The range has been set at 463 kilometers, making the Taycan 4S the farthest of all versions with this option.
The new Taycan 4S can be recognized by model-specific 19-inch wheels and red calipers. The spoiler on the front, the side skirts and the rear diffuser also differ from those of the more powerful Turbo and Turbo S versions. No changes on the inside of the Taycan 4S compared to the other versions.
With a base price of 109,900 euros, the Taycan 4S is considerably cheaper than the above-mentioned Turbo versions, which cost 157,100 euros and 191,000 euros respectively.
