The successor to the PlayStation 4 is officially called the PlayStation 5, and will be released around Christmas 2020. That's what PlayStation designer Mark Cerny says to the American techtag Wired .
Sony gave little details about the new game console last year. This gives the machine a fast solid state drive and a stronger Ryzen CPU.
But little was known about the name and the intended date. Now Sony confirms that the new PlayStation 5 will be released at the same time as the new Xbox: "holiday 2020", so somewhere between October and December. It is not yet known how much the PlayStation 5 will cost.
The new console thereby receives a controller that gives the player more tangible feedback, and can also resist pressure if that makes sense to the gaming experience. For example, the tension of an arc will feel more realistic, and you can tell by the buttons when you walk through sand or mud, for example, Wired writes.
