A few passers-by stopped, some taking pictures and videos with their mobile phones. Once back down, the police arrested him, AFP found.

The specialist in urban climbing did not reveal his motives for his climb of the day. In mid-August, he climbed a skyscraper in Hong Kong before deploying a "banner of peace," in the middle of a political crisis with almost daily demonstrations to demand more democracy.

A hundred buildings scaled

The Spider-Man has more than a hundred buildings to his name and appears in the Guinness Book of Records . He climbed the Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world (828m) in Dubai, the Eiffel Tower or the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

Alain Robert suffered several falls during his climbing as he was repeatedly questioned. According to his habit since 1994, he carries out his exploits without authorization, in full solo and without any security system.
