Fascinated by the world of cinema and stars, a banker is suspected of having hijacked up to five million euros by drawing into accounts of rich, unremarkable customers. All to please his clients actors or directors.

He could be called a good Samaritan, at the same time as a crook. A former banker is tried from Monday in Paris. Fascinated by the world of cinema, this man is suspected of having embezzled up to five million euros to the detriment of his customers ... in order to please other customers, actors or directors for the most part.

For ten years, this banker never said "no" to his clients, actors and directors for many of them. They needed 150,000 or 300,000 euros? No problem: the sum was released in a few days without signing any paper. This benevolent banker was actually using the dormitory account of a wealthy expatriate who was looking at his bank statements.

Olivier Martinez, Alexandre Arcady and Mylène Demongeot among the victims

Two million euros have been used. But the machine is influential when some stars are slow to repay their loan. The banker then draws in other accounts. To the actress Mylène Demongeot, he has invested more than 1.5 million euros in an imaginary project in Brazil. It is this transfer that was detected in 2012 by Tracfin, the anti-money laundering organization of Bercy that will reveal the whole affair.

The director Alexandre Arcady and the actor Olivier Martinez then realize that they miss them more than one million euros. The banker is unmasked but the investigators do not find at home any trace of personal enrichment, just a new Citroën DS 4. All these millions of euros diverted would have been only to please his customers of the 7th Art. A world that fascinated him.
