The @jack account published for several minutes, Friday, August 30, several racist messages.

With our correspondent in San Francisco, Eric de Salve

This is one of the supposedly most protected Twitter accounts. @jack , for Jack Dorsey, usually tweets pictures of the relaxed Californian bearded man in the company of the world's greatest or his favorite playlists for his morning jog in the streets of San Francisco.

But this Friday afternoon, the account of the billionaire has suddenly posted or retwitter violently racist insults against black, but also neo-Nazi and denial comments. An uninterrupted flow for nearly 20 minutes under the eyes to the least surprised by its 4.2 million subscribers, before Twitter teams can regain control of the account and announce the launch of an investigation to understand this incident.

The flaw could come from Cloudhopper, an SMS company bought by Twitter in 2010, when some users posted their tweets via SMS. The hacker (s) might have used this undefined ruse to deflect Jack Dorsey's account without knowing his password.

The phone number has been compromised by the mobile provider. This is an unauthorized person to compose and send tweets via text message from the phone number. That issue is now resolved.

Such vulnerability raises questions in the US media. What would happen, asks the channel CNN, if the accounts of influential American elected officials, starting with that of Donald Trump were also easily hacked? No comments from Twitter yet.
