“For the first time, the Emirate and Arab cosmonaut will take part in scientific missions in space,” RIA Novosti quotes al-Shaabani.

According to him, an astronaut from the UAE will participate in scientific experiments in cooperation with international space corporations and in simple scientific experiments proposed by Emirate students, and will also take part in several educational projects.

International partners for the duration of the experiments will be NASA, Roscosmos, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Japan Aerospace Research Agency.

Al-Shaabani said that six of the 16 experiments that are planned to be carried out at the ISS will be associated with the influence of weightlessness.

At the same time, the reaction of the human body to zero gravity will be studied before and after the flight: the work of the cardiovascular, skeletal, endocrine system of the astronaut will be studied.

In June, the Qatari chef spoke about the diet of the first astronaut from the UAE to the ISS.

It is expected that on September 25, Soyuz MS-15 will be launched on the ISS with a crew consisting of the cosmonaut Roscosmos, as well as astronauts NASA and the UAE.
