The Health Insurance Policy Review Committee, the highest resolution of health insurance policy, decided to raise the health insurance premium by 3.2% next year.

As a result, the health insurance premiums for workers enrolled at an average of 11,365 won this year increased to 3,165 won from 11,618 won next year. Will be raised.

The increase is lower than the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 3.49% increase in the 1st National Health Insurance Comprehensive Plan.

Member organizations have insisted on paying 24 trillion won in government aid that the government has not paid for the past 13 years and freezing or raising the premium.

Earlier, the Health Insurance Policy Deliberation Committee held in June has delayed deliberation by member organizations.

Yesterday (22nd), after a four-and-a-half-day marathon meeting, a vote was passed, with the precondition that the controversial state aid would be more than 14% of health insurance income next year.

Based on the premium increase, the government will continue to implement the so-called Moon Jae-in Care, a health insurance security reinforcement plan that reduces the burden of medical expenses.
