A tragic accident of the sea cost the life of a 30-year-old man late Thursday afternoon against the Marseillan rescue station in the Hérault.

A rare collision between two jet-skis left two injured and cost the life of a man late Thursday afternoon off Marseillan.

A loss of control of the jet ski causing the collision

According to testimonies collected by Hérault Tribune , the victim, experienced jet pilot, was sailing alone at high speed on his private jet. He was dangerously close to a group of 4 rental jets framed by a monitor.

The monitor, feeling a potential danger, wanted to get closer to the pilot to ask him to move further offshore. As he got closer to him, the pilot accelerated violently and lost control of his machine and hit one of the rental scooters that were standing on the water.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was unconscious when help arrived. He could not be revived and died.
