The police investigation following the theft of the car of the Minister in charge of the City and Housing, last June, revealed twelve robberies and attempts of theft of Renault Talisman in the same sector, reports "Le Parisien".

On June 25, Julien Denormandie, Minister in charge of the City and Housing, is being robbed of his company car in Seine-Saint-Denis. Twenty-four hours later, his Renault Talisman is geolocated in a city of Bondy. At the moment, no suspect is arrested. This anecdotal case of theft actually hides a traffic of a different scale. As a result of this case, police officers from the Bondy police station are indeed discovering a series of robberies and attempted theft of Renault Talisman, Le Parisien reveals Wednesday.

Suspects arrested

All in all, our fellow Parisians indicate that there are nearly twelve flights and attempted theft of Talisman that were uncovered by the police in Bondy, all in the same area and a few days apart. A man domiciled in Val-d'Oise is considered the main perpetrator of the facts. He recognized "four flights and two attempts", and left with "a few hundred euros" for each stolen Talisman. The man, indicted and placed in pre-trial detention, would be part of a larger network of specialized criminals.

This series of thefts was discovered by the investigators after the discovery, on July 1, of three other vehicles of the diamond brand in a residence at Pavillons-sous-Bois, in Seine-Saint-Denis, also stolen. . After this discovery, the police had set up a surveillance device, observing in the evening the comings and goings of two people. One of them then tried to start one of the stolen vehicles, being surprised by the police, tell our colleagues. He was arrested while trying to charge the police.

His accomplice, arrested in the wake, quickly confessed. According to him, the 17-year-old suspect was recruited in Paris, around the Place de la Bastille, and then contacted by his 23-year-old sidekick on social networks, under the pseudonym "La Vida". During his confession, the young man detailed the procedure of his accomplice: "La Vida" forced the door of the vehicle with a "screwdriver" and then open it with the help of an "iron rod". He then started the car by accessing the dashboard.

The extent of the traffic still uncertain

If the investigation has revealed more than a dozen flights and attempts to fly in the same area and the same period, the scale of traffic of these Renault Talisman remains uncertain. Investigations are continuing to determine the extent of the criminal network and the number of stolen cars.
