The Gaming Authority (Ksa) has imposed a fine of 350,000 euros on the company behind Bwin.com, which offered online sports betting and gambling services without a license.
"There was a large selection of sports bets on the site. It was also possible to play live casino games such as roulette, black jack and poker," Ksa writes on his website on Wednesday.
Offering online games of chance is currently prohibited in the Netherlands, because under current law it is not possible to obtain a license for the Dutch market. That will change in 2020, when a new law regulating this comes into force.
