The fire in the Anseong Box Factory, Gyeonggi, where two firefighters were killed and nine wounded, was extinguished in 12 hours.

The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters received fire at 1:15 pm on the 6th from 1:30 am on a paper box manufacturing plant building (1 floor below ground and 2 floors above ground and 3,500 m²) in Anseong-si, Anseong. I turned it off completely.

No further casualties occurred.

Earlier, when the fire broke out, the fire department issued the first stage of response, an alarm order issued by all fire department personnel in the district, and caught fire after 30 minutes.

However, the firefighting agency explained that there was a storage room for semiconductor cleaners on the ground floor where the fire started, increasing the risk of explosion and building collapse.

The fire brigade of 45-year-old veteran Seok Won-ho (45) from the Anseong Fire Department Training Zone, who was the first to arrive at the scene and started the fire, was injured.

Nine people, including plant workers, were hurt.

The injured are all in good condition.

On the first floor of the fired factory building, the semiconductor cleaner storage warehouse, the first floor above the ground store goods and packaging companies, and the second floor, a paper box manufacturing plant is reported to be in operation.

The police and the fire authorities will assume that the fuel tank on the first basement floor has a fire with an unknown cause, and plan to identify the exact cause of the fire.

In addition, we plan to store semiconductor cleaners in the building to see if they could violate existing laws such as the Dangerous Goods Safety Management Act.
