A dozen animals died in a teaching farm in Méry-sur-Seine, apparently beaten. In this case, the gendarmes arrested and detained four young people between the ages of 16 and 18.

Following the discovery of 14 animals beaten to death and four others wounded Monday morning at the teaching farm of Méry-sur-Seine, in the Aube, gendarmes arrested and detained four minors aged 16 to 18 years. They must be presented to the juvenile judge in the day of Thursday.

On Monday, an employee of this establishment found several dead animals, apparently beaten to death: 13 poultry and a rabbit. A pig, a goose and a rooster also had lesions. Finally, a badly wounded sheep had to be euthanized by a veterinarian, reports in a statement the departmental gendarmerie of Nogent-sur-Seine.

A footprint search on cans of beer found on the spot, as well as investigations carried out near the neighborhood, made it possible to quickly guide the investigation towards the four suspects. They were finally arrested and placed in police custody on Tuesday and Wednesday.
