Recently, cigarette-type electronic cigarette sales increased, and market share increased to 12% only two years.

The government is worried that the sale of electronic cigarettes will increase even though it is added to liquid form.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare plans to revise the law next year and attach warning signs and pictures to these electronic cigarette smoking devices.

It also decided to ban illegal sales to teenagers and prohibit advertising and promotional activities for electronic cigarette smokers.

The industry claims that electronic cigarettes are less harmful.

Recently, the US FDA approved the sale of electronic cigarettes, saying that they are less toxic than regular tobacco and are therefore appropriate for public health protection.

However, experts are concerned that exposure to addiction may be low even if the content of nicotine is low.

[Lim Min-kyung / National Cancer Center Professor: It is very big that it gives a chance to experience a little concentration of nicotine to a lot of non-smokers and teenagers because it is very fancy, pretty and appealing because it contains low concentration of nicotine.]

The government said the FDA did not approve of the safety, saying that there is no change in the existing position that there is no less harmful cigarette.
