Former President Chun Doo-hwan has filed an application to suspend the suspension of the sale of his home in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul.

Accordingly, the ongoing auction procedure will be suspended until the 15th day after the ruling of the main case lawsuit.

The 13th administrative section of the Seoul Administrative Court cited the former executive's wife, Lee Soon-Ja, who was suspended for the Korea Asset Management Corporation.

According to the petition filed by the applicants, the court said, "It is recognized that there is an urgent need to suspend the effect of preventing an unrecoverable damage to applicants due to an auction."

"There is no evidence to suggest that the suspension of the disposition may have a significant impact on public welfare," he added.
