In the Premier League, the fight for the Champions League places becomes a snail race. Chelsea did not go beyond 2--2 (2-2) at home to Burnley. Previously, Chelsea's Tottenham Hotspur (1-0 at Manchester City), Manchester United (4-0 at Everton) and Arsenal (2-1 at Crystal Palace) lost their matches.

The game against Burnley started badly for Chelsea. Jeff Hendrick took the visitors early (8th minute). But the blues quickly recovered from the shock and scored the game with two goals in two minutes. Only N'Golo Kanté equalized (12), then Gonzalo Higuaín put on 2-1 for the hosts (14).

There was still some cheering - but only briefly: Gonzalo Higuaín has brought Chelsea into the lead

But even this leadership did not last long. Just ten minutes later, Ashley Barnes volleyed the 2-2 (24). After Chelsea still earned some good chances, but came to no other goal.

Due to the draw, the Blues are now tied to third-placed Tottenham and move forward to the important fourth place, which entitles to participate in the premier class. However, the picture is deceptive: Chelsea have one point ahead of Arsenal and three points on United, but have played one game more than their competitors.

Burnley celebrates with the point the almost sure relegation. Three games to go before the end of the season, the Clarets are nine points clear of the table-18. Cardiff City and a 17 goals better goal difference.
