Gastronomy, leisure... Every weekend at 6:50 a.m., Olivier Poels and Vanessa Zha present a product, a producer and all the good tips for re(discovering) a region.

Vanessa, we're going to celebrate the Art Deco Spring in Hauts de France!

All territories of which celebrate Art Deco for 1 month. So why Art Deco in the heights of France? well the First World War was so devastating for the buildings, razed villages and towns, some of which were amputated up to 70% of their monuments, that from 1919 when it was necessary to rebuild we opted for young style and modern, that of the Roaring Twenties which we called Art Deco: As much for public monuments as for businesses and workshops.

And how is this Art Deco spring going?

With activities, visits, workshops, cinema screenings, even balls in Art Deco party rooms... here are my top picks. In Calais, an art deco photo outing with professional photographer Mathieu Bachon. To learn how to find the best angle and highlight art deco motifs. In Roubaix: visit the Swimming Pool which has become the Museum of Art and Industry. In Alaincourt, oh that I love a Charleston class (Charleston music) In Saint Quentin: something new: the Palais de l'Art Déco, which took place in the store of the Roaring Twenties: The new galleries. Still in Saint Quentin,: the Museum of Fine Arts organizes an experience for babies from 1 to 3 years old….For example, in front of an Art Deco painting which features a few feathers, we will make them touch feathers, caress their feathers. face with… to stimulate their first artistic emotions. In Lens the large offices of the Lens mining company which now welcome students there. Summer they work in the Libraries where at the time…we danced. And who took care of the furnishings? the Majorelle workshop! In Le Touquet the Westminster Hotel which is celebrating its 100th anniversary...and in Bethune with a Roaring Twenties/picnic outing aboard a 1929 Renault.

Accommodation ?

In Lens, the Appolo, a former Art Deco performance hall (Audrey Hepburn, Joséphine Baker) transformed into a hotel.

Tofu

Very fashionable, especially among vegans, tofu appeared in Europe in the 1980s; previously, it was practically unknown. This soy cheese has a long history in China and Japan of more than 2000 years. It was in China that he was born in the 2nd century, during the Han dynasty. It must be said that soya is one of the oldest cultivated plants. The production of tofu resembles that of cheese (milk and rennet): calcium sulfate or magnesium chloride is added to “soy milk” which allows it to coagulate.

What to do with tofu?
