The first game of the semi-finals of the women's basketball W League playoffs was held, with DENSO, who finished second in the regular season, easily defeating last year's champion ENEOS, 77-58, and are on the cusp of advancing to the finals.

The first round of the W League semi-finals, in which the first team to win two games advances to the finals, was held in Chofu, Tokyo on the 6th, and pitted DENSO, the 2nd place in the regular season, against ENEOS, last year's champions and the 3rd place in the regular season.



Denso started the game with tough defense in the first quarter, and took a 40-22 lead in the second quarter thanks to a three-point shot by Japan representative Maki Takada.



In the third quarter, ENEOS counterattacked by taking advantage of the height of Raimu Tokashiki, who is 1 meter 93 cm tall, but DENSO's Ako Himawari boldly jumped for the rebound and did not let the opponent get the ball rolling, allowing DENSO to score 56. We entered the 4th quarter with a 41 lead.



In the fourth quarter, Ami Kimura's two three-pointers led Denso to an easy victory of 77-58, putting them on course to advance to the finals for the first time in six years.

Denso made 12 three-pointers with a success rate of 46.2%, Takada scored 15 points, the most for both teams, and Ako Himawari recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.



ENEOS struggled against DENSO's tough defense, losing the ball and committing 22 turnovers, unable to find their rhythm until the end.



The second round of the semi-finals will be held on the 7th.
