WALK IN ROME

This morning heading to Rome

…because it is the bells of Rome that bring Easter eggs. The opportunity to tell you about a new series of guides that Le Routard has launched: Mission Routard, including one on Rome. So this is a guide for children. But not a traditional guide to discover Rome with your children. The author, Bertrand Puard - novelist specializing in investigations - wanted to concoct a series of guides in which the child is the Hero!

That's to say ?!

Travel is interactive, and this guide is too. Six great adventures for traveling in Rome. With, for example, the Vatican Mission, to discover this state in the heart of the capital, which is only 40 ha, I couldn't see it being so small with Latin as the official language (even the ATM gives instructions in Latin). Language of use, Italian. Diplomatic language, Olivier? French. And the language of the Swiss Guards, German… and yes we learn things!!! And so to explore this Vatican, our dear little darlings will become the Pope's secret agents.

And what is the pitch?

A theft has been committed in the secret archives of the Vatican, the child must glean clues in the Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica and the museums, which will allow him to establish a sketch of the culprit!! So while following his investigation, he appropriates the history of the place.

But like any backpacker, there are also some unusual things...any good tips?

Like the Via Appia Antica to cycle, the best preserved Roman road in the world, "the queen of roads" which gave rise to the expression "take the royal road" - It takes you up to 500 km from Rome, but you can already stop at Cinecitta: these famous film studios, created by Mussolini, where the famous Peplum were filmed.

THE LAMB

Many of you will eat lamb at Easter.

Different types of lamb (milk (40/60 days only mother's milk) – sheepfold (100 days).

What piece? the leg of lamb (6/8 people), the shoulder (¾ people), the ribs to grill… what if you chose the mouse?

Kesako the mouse??

It is a very tender part located at the back and which surrounds the tibia. Its oval shape evokes a mouse. An ideal meat for braising or confiding. It is delicate to cook, for the best results, it is necessary to cook at low temperature

And the recipe?

We're going to combine it with citrus fruits and cumin, a killer flavor duo!

- 4 mice

- The juice of 2 oranges and 1 lemon

- 1 tbsp cumin

- 10 cl of sweet white wine

- Olive oil

- 1 clove of garlic

Brown the mice in a casserole dish / Add the wine, citrus juice, cumin, and crushed garlic clove / Let simmer for 1 hour over very low heat, watering very regularly / Serve with asparagus or semolina .
