In the duel between the traditional clubs, Hertha BSC and FC Nürnberg separated 3:3 (2:1). On the 27th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga, Can Uzun scored twice (14th minute/47th), and Lukas Schmelzer was also successful for Nuremberg (33rd). The Hertha goals were scored by Marten Winkler (45th) and brace Haris Tabaković (54th/56th, penalty kick).

As a result of the draw, both teams are unable to move further forward from the middle of the table. Berlin improved by one place and is now eighth, Nuremberg remains in tenth place. Getting involved in the promotion race seems increasingly unrealistic for both teams.

In front of almost 52,000 spectators, Nuremberg was initially the team that dominated the game, won the duels and appeared more awake. The 18-year-old Uzun, who made his debut for Turkey during the international break, hit the deserved lead with a left-footed shot into the right corner (14th). Schlimer increased after a Berlin defensive mistake (33'). Shortly before the break, Winkler's goal came out of nowhere (45th).

The second half had barely started when Uzun danced almost effortlessly around the Berlin defenders and scored his 15th goal of the season. According to media reports, he is being courted by Eintracht Frankfurt.

The game seemed decided, but Hertha striker Tabaković scored with a header after Jonjoe Kenny's cross and around two minutes later with a penalty kick (54th/56th). At the top of the top scorer list he drew level with Christos Tzolis from Fortuna Düsseldorf. Suddenly a balanced game developed in which things went back and forth. However, a seventh goal was not scored.
