Four quarterfinal games will be held on the ninth day of the Senbatsu High School Baseball tournament.

1st game

The first match is between Seiryo High School in Ishikawa and Ananko High School in Tokushima.

Seiryo's ace left-handed pitcher, Tsubasa Sasou, contributed to the victory in the second round by pitching well, giving up two runs in nine innings, effectively using his long fastball and breaking ball.

On the other hand, Anan Hikaru's ace pitcher, Atsushi Yoshioka, has pitched the last two games by himself, and in the second round, he got a shutout with 14 strikeouts with fastballs over 140 km and sharp breaking balls.

The key to victory will be how the batting lineup can support the stable pitchers of both teams.

2nd match

The second game will be a match between Gunma's Takasaki Health and Welfare University Takasaki High School and Yamanashi Gakuin, last year's winning school and aiming for a consecutive championship.

Kendai Takasaki is known for its mobility, which is synonymous with the team, and in the second round, they aggressively ran the bases and scored points, leading to victory.

The pitching relay between pitchers Ryugetsu Sato and Genki Ishigaki, both sophomores wearing number one on their backs, has not allowed a single point so far.

Yamanashi Gakuin's second-year pitcher Yuto Tsushima, who replaced their ace who is not in perfect condition, is showing a high level of team power as he has pitched well for two consecutive games.

Yamanashi Gakuin has only conceded one goal so far, and the key point will likely be how both teams can make the most of their limited chances.

Game 3

In the third game, Aomori Yamada High School will face Chiba's Chuo Gakuin High School, both of whom are aiming to make it to the top four for the first time.

Chuo Gakuin has an active batting lineup, with double-digit hits in two consecutive games starting in the first round.

The key will be how to place runners in front of No. 5 Shinta Sosa, who is doing well, and No. 6 Michiki Morita.

Aomori Yamada, on the other hand, has won their last two games in close games with a one-point difference.

In particular, they showed tenacity in the second round match against Koryo High School, where they lost the lead twice in the final stages but caught up and won by walk-off in the 10th inning.

Game 4

The fourth game was a match between Osaka Toin High School and Hyogo's Hotoku Gakuen Kinki teams.

Osaka Toin's main players are starting to hit the mark, including Ryoyo Sakai, who hit three hits including a running home run in the second round, and Yoshiharu Tokumaru, who hit a timely hit.

Hotoku Gakuen's batting lineup has been doing well with double-digit hits in the past two games, in which they have faced good pitchers, and the two center players, Yamato Nishimura and Yusei Saito, have been particularly successful.

Osaka Toin won a close match 4-3 in the Kinki tournament last fall, and this match is expected to be a good match between teams with championship experience.
