The head of the Russian Premier League Alexander Alaev, the general secretary of the Russian Football Union Maxim Mitrofanov, journalists Vasily Konov, Denis Kazansky, Konstantin Genich and many others also came to say goodbye to Utkin.
On March 19, it became known that the journalist died in the cardiology department of the Pirogov hospital. According to preliminary data, the cause of death was pulmonary embolism (a blood clot broke off). Recently, Utkin has been developing his media football team “Egrisi”.
Earlier, Moscow City Duma deputy Natalia Metlina noted that Utkin was the person who shaped many sports journalists.
