As Kusturica told TASS, Russia should consider this idea if the exclusion of domestic teams and national teams from international tournaments drags on for a long time. The director also recalled that in 1992 Yugoslavia was in a similar situation.

“Russia is a big country, a strong country, and you need to look to the future, because if these bans continue, then you need to make your own league - the Asian league, there are very good teams there too. Is this possible? I think yes. Why not?" - Kusturica added.

On March 21, the Russian national team defeated the Serbian national team in a friendly match, which took place in Moscow at the VTB Arena. The meeting ended with a score of 4:0. Brothers Alexey and Anton Miranchuk, Maxim Osipenko and Arsen Zakharyan scored goals.

Thanks to this, the Russian national football team extended its unbeaten streak to five matches.

Earlier it was reported that a fan who ran onto the field during a match between the Russian and Serbian national teams faces up to 15 days of arrest.
