Yasuonishiki was on a 20-game winning streak, winning consecutively in Jomo-guchi and Jo-ni-dan, but Nagamura began his strong thrusts with his signature push from the standing position, and with a strong nodowa attack, he hit the opponent with a ``thrust''. We won the tournament with a total of 7 wins.



Nagamura is a 19-year-old from Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture.



At Hiryu High School in Shizuoka Prefecture, a powerhouse of sumo, he entered the Kise stable after finishing in the top 8 at the Inter-High School Tournament, and stepped into the sumo ring for the first time last year.



After joining the club, he steadily rose through the rankings, and this year's first tournament was at Makushita, but he lost with 3 wins and 4 losses, and was currently in the 3rd place in the 3rd tier in the west.



Nagamura said, ``It was an opponent I had never beaten before even in practice, but I knew I had no choice but to win.I'm glad I was able to hit the opponent's center and go all at once.The next place is important, so I wanted to be able to move on to the next place right away. I want to work on it," he said.
