China News Service, March 17. The 2023-24 International Skating Union Short Track Speed Skating World Championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, will continue on the 16th local time.
The Chinese team won two gold medals that day, with Sun Long and Lin Xiaojun winning the men's 1500m and men's 500m events respectively.
The World Championships is the final event of the short track speed skating event this season. There are 9 events in the competition and there are many famous athletes.
The Chinese team sent a total of 12 people, 6 men and 6 women, to participate, including multiple Olympic champions.

In the competition that day, Sun Long successfully advanced to the men's 1500m Group A finals, while another Chinese player Li Wenlong missed the advancement due to a foul.
A total of two Korean athletes were shortlisted for the event, including Olympic champion Hwang Dae-heon.
In the final, Sun Long competed fiercely with other opponents and finally crossed the finish line second with a time of 2 minutes, 23 seconds and 009 seconds.
After the game, the referee made a penalty. South Korean star Huang Daxian, who was the first to cross the line, was disqualified due to a foul. Sun Long won the championship.
This is the first gold medal won by the Chinese short track speed skating team at this World Championships, and also the 100th gold medal the team has won at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships.
After winning his first individual gold medal in the World Championships, Sun Long said frankly that the honor belongs to the entire team and hopes that this gold medal can give the team a good start.

Sun Long's wish soon came true.
In the subsequent men's 500m Group A final, Lin Xiaojuan added another gold medal for the Chinese team.
Lin Xiaojuan started from the innermost lane in the final and successfully took the lead at the first corner.
He did not give other opponents any chance to surpass him and won the championship with a time of 41 seconds 592.
After winning, Lin Xiaoqi raised his arms and shouted, and hugged the coaching staff on the sidelines tightly.
Next, he will also participate in the men's 1,000 meters and relay races.
