In the capital, two weeks after the Russian Championship, another major competition in rhythmic gymnastics took place - the Moscow Grand Prix and the Alina Kabaeva Champions Cup.

Together with athletes from other countries, the leaders of the team competed according to the FIG rules, and the rest of the domestic athletes competed with each other, relying on internal regulations.

First of all, the tournament was interesting because Anna Popova returned to the mat after an injury.

Her appearance came as a surprise, since at the national championship she acted only as a commentator and was not ready to name the dates when she would be able to please the audience with new programs.

However, the coaching staff decided not to delay this and two weeks later the gymnast appeared before the fans and judges.

Unfortunately, the athlete was not able to show herself to the maximum in the all-around.

In exercises with the ball to the SHAMAN song “I am Russian,” she made three losses.

The athlete also dropped her ribbon once, and during her performance “without an object” to “I Raise My Hands” by Grigory Leps, there was a feeling that Anya was in a hurry to get somewhere.

Alas, due to the abundance of blots, she ended up only fourth.

However, the girl did not leave the Moscow Grand Prix without a medal.

On the final day of competition, she took silver in hoop.

Well, as expected, Lala Kramarenko won the all-around victory.

True, we must admit that the leader of the national team at the tournament also did not look perfect.

Perhaps the injury that bothered her at the national championship was affecting her again.

Let us remember that the girl even thought about leaving him.

In an exercise with a hoop, the gymnast missed two turns.

The ribbon fell out of my hands once, plus a knot tied in the middle of the performance.

The loss also occurred in the clubs, so despite the gold, Kramarenko was not very pleased with herself after the start.

Although the athlete put a chic end to the stunning tango “without an object”.

“It didn’t work out much.

I'm unhappy with the ribbon because I tied a knot and didn't do everything I wanted.

I didn’t make it to the finals with the ribbon, on the last day I’ll do other types and try to fix everything.

We are all very grateful to Irina Aleksandrovna Viner that we have the opportunity to perform without an apparatus, because the artistic part of gymnastics is revealed.

We show art, body plasticity.

Therefore, it is always interesting to perform without an object and show emotions and feelings,” RIA Novosti quotes Kramarenko as saying.

Maria Borisova became second in the all-around.

She managed to rehabilitate herself for her failure at the Russian Championship, in which she did not make it to the podium.

Moreover, at the Moscow Grand Prix, the gymnast’s chances of winning medals were very slim at first.

However, for the last event of the program she pulled herself together and gave a powerful performance with clubs to “Kalinka” performed by Nikolai Baskov.

As a result, this composition brought her silver.

The athlete beat Vladislava Sharonova by 0.050 points.

On Sunday, March 17, only the two best gymnasts from the country could perform in certain types of programs, and in the end, the Russians took all the gold and silver.

Even with errors, they received several points more from the judges than Silva Sargsyan from Armenia and Sofia Bernat from the UAE, who shared all the bronze medals of the day.

Meanwhile, a stubborn struggle unfolded between domestic athletes.

So, in clubs Borisova again had no equal.

Maria brilliantly performed all the elements, forcing even the head coach of the national team, Irina Viner, to applaud.

Kramarenko dropped the object at the very end of the composition and was content with second place.

“Emotions are only positive.

I'm glad I was able to handle the clubs twice.

And it turns out that we managed to recover from the unsuccessful Russian championship.

We changed our training tactics a little and tried something new.

It works, in principle it helps now,” Borisova admitted in an interview with Sport24 after the award.

At the same time, it should be noted that on Sunday Kramarenko looked much better than in the all-around.

The loss in the exercise with clubs was the only one of the whole day.

The ball almost let Lalu down at the end of the composition.

But the gymnast managed to get out of the situation by quickly rolling up to him.

And this did not significantly affect the estimates.

The Russian champion took gold, beating Arina Tkachuk.

This time Kramarenko performed the hoop to “Swan Lake” flawlessly, and she beat Popova, although she also performed excellently to Britney Spears.

And in the composition “without an object,” Lala again showed all her femininity, which was also noted by Irina Viner.

“Lala has always been an expressive gymnast, but she used to be a small, expressive gymnast.

Now she is feminine, the same as Dina and Arina Averina became in their time.

She has grown into an adult gymnast who has incredible control over her body and emotions.

“Black Swan”, Vaenga’s song is sensual, there is also proud Spanish and oriental music.

Completely different roles, which is what I’m trying to achieve.

So that each exercise is a performance, but not the same.

Comedy, tragedy, drama.

I am very pleased with her results, although there were mistakes, because of which she herself is very worried.

But even in the sun there are spots,” Wiener said.

Moreover, on Sunday Kramarenko was rehabilitated for her failure in the film.

She did not qualify for the finals with this apparatus (Tkachuk won gold), but the organizers allowed Lala to compete outside the competition.

And this time she managed to complete everything without errors.
